" Ludacris Enlists DJ Premier And 9th Wonder For 'Theater' " (DAPP News)

boogieb: hell yes...

"Ludacris and T.I. squashed their beef. While that may not be news to you, Luda and Tip may be ready to schedule a tour itinerary soon, too. Now, with Luda's Theater of the Mind coming soon, expect to hear more from 'Cris in the coming months. Recently, he unveiled a few new tracks for fans and still had some surprises.

The track that had people buzzing was "On Top of the World," a song that features former foe T.I.

"We had been talking under the radar for a long time," he told an audience of fans at a listening session recently. "We were just trying to figure out the right opportunity to surprise everybody."

However, the fact didn't remain a secret and the cat was out of the bag before they would have planned. Still, the collabo had a lot of fans shocked.

"With that being said, we live in Atlanta, and Atlanta is small as hell, compared to New York and we've got the same circle of friends. It was never really beef between me and him. We felt, with everything going on in the business, there was no better time to make it happen."

According to reports, a Luda/T.I. tour may be in the works, but no details have been set in stone as of yet.

Billboard also reports two videos have been finished for the album. "What Them Girls Like," a track featuring Chris Brown and Sean Garrett is set to be and another video, "Undisputed" featuring boxer Floyd Mayweather is set to be released as well. Both videos are already done.

Guests are plentiful. The Game is set to be on "Call Up The Homies" and Lil Wayne is featured on a song titled, "Last of a Dying Breed" while his T-Wayne partner T-Pain is a guest on a track titled "One More Drink."

Producers are also A List guests. DJ Premier ("MVP") and 9th Wonder ("Do The Right Thing") are confirmed producers and so are Clinton Sparks ("Call Up The Homies") and DJ Toomp ("Wish You Would").

Theater of the Mind is set to drop October 21."

T.I. "Paper Trail" - In Stores Now (DAPP News)

" T.I. released his sixth album Paper Trail on September 30, 2008. The title of the album refers to the lyrics he had written down on paper. Like many other rappers, such as Lil Wayne, T.I. abandoned this style of rapping after his debut album I'm Serious by just memorizing lyrics. "He wanted to take more time to really put something down (this time)," explains his rep.

The first promo single off of the album, "No Matter What", was released on StreetCred.com, Tuesday, April 29. The music video was released on June 27 on MTV's FN Premieres. The second promo single is "Swing Ya Rag" which is produced and featuring Swizz Beatz. The first main single off the album "Whatever You Like", was released on July 29, and became his most successful single of his career so far, breaking the record for the highest jump to number one on the Billboard Hot 100, jumping from #71 to #1. It is T.I.'s first solo number one on the chart. "

Jay-z news - The Blueprint 3: Dec. 2nd (DAPP News)

News Bits: The Jay-Z Edition
September 29th, 2008 | Author: Omar Burgess

If nothing else, things will get a lot more interesting for Jay-Z during the fourth quarter. BET.com's Nile "Low Key" Ivey reports, via the network's "Sound Off" blog, that Jay has decided on Dec. 2 as the release date for Blueprint 3. The rumor mill began circulating after Jay-Z and Kanye West leaked "Jockin' Jay-Z (Dope Boy Fresh)" in August. The album will be Jay-Z's last contractual obligation under his current agreement. Def Jam has not responded to requests to confirm the news.

Jay-Z has confirmed the rumor that he is working on his own version of "Swagger Like Us." He originally appeared with Lil Wayne, Kanye West and T.I. on the original, which is featured on T.I.'s upcoming Paper Trail. Guest verses from Young Jeezy, Nas and Andre 3000 have already been recorded for the Blueprint 3 version.

Additionally, HipHopDX has obtained documents naming Jay-Z in an intellectual property lawsuit. Reggie Evans, CEO of I Will Not Lose, LLC, is attempting to sue the multi-platinum rapper over the use of the phrase "I Will Not Lose." The suit lists Shawn Corey Carter and Iconix Brand Group, Inc., who purchased Rocawear in 2007 for $204 million.

The court documents, which were originally filed on Sept. 18, accuse Jay-Z and Iconix of intellectual property and copyright infringement. Jay-Z began prominently using the phrase "I Will Not Lose" in 2000, after releasing The Dynasty: Roc La Familia. Evans' camp maintains that they sent multiple unanswered notices to Jay-Z and Iconix in 2007 after trademarking the phrase.

kanYe West debuts "love lockdown" at the 2008 MTV VMAs (DAPP News)

The VMAs kinda sucked, i knew i shoulda watched 'Entourage'. Thank goodness for TiVo. what was up with that small ass venue, i felt like there was no one there and almost all the performances were pretty lackluster (sorry but that was kinda weak/corny T.I. - at least that  new song with Rihanna is kinda dapp). Christina, Rhianna, and i might even say Pink probably had the best performances. How the hell did LL Cool J get stuck performing on the side lines like he was some kinda new artist... where's the respect?

But of course 'Ye holds it down by closing out the show with his new song off his new album in decemeber (so thats 'Ye & Jigga in december. damn.) "love lockdown". A very different track for mr. west but sounds like an instant classic even though he aint rapping. Apparently, another new track "Heartless" was also debuted but was not aired
