Every ’70s and ’80s baby in the world was raised on his classic music videos, but most Michael Jackson fans didn’t get a chance to see his 3D science fiction movie Captain EO, directed by Francis Ford Coppola. The flick was shown exclusively at Disneyland and Epcot Center for over 10 years, but it’s never been officially released on DVD (click here to sign a petition asking Disney to release the damn thing so we can pay them money). But thanks to the internets (and a wonderful Dutch person), we can now watch the complete movie (part 1 above and part 2 below).
It’s kind of a fake Star Wars, but fuck it…did we mention that George Lucas also co-wrote and produced Captain EO? Yeah. A note to so-called “superstars”: until you have a movie airing at the biggest amusement park in the world for a decade…you’re not touching the King! Rest in peace to the greatest that ever did it. As if black people didn’t catch a bad enough one from the Jar Jar Binks character in Star Wars Episodes I-III, Bay’s Autobot twins, the “black”-voiced Skids and Mudflap, are the 2009 version of the Amos n’ Andy minstrel show. It’s hard to believe a big-money director would show his ass like this in what projects to be a much-watched blockbuster, but maybe he’s gotten too comfortable hanging out with his boy Black-Ty. After calling the excessive use of Auto-tune a “gimmick,” Hova used the example of a fast food restaurant commercial to prove his point. “There was a Wendy’s commercial where they were playing around and some singers were singing in Auto-Tune. That’s the day you know you gotta get rid of it…Like Wendy’s? Come on man.”
“I don’t chase new generations or things like that. What is consistent in my music is truth. It’s emotion and a truth in my music, and that’s why I’ve been able to have 11 albums. People should follow a point of view and not an age. A point a view is ageless and timeless.”
With that said, he gave his own thoughts on why artists nowadays lack longevity. “When you dialed into an age group, that’s when you’re only around for two years.”

A three-time NBA All-Star, Howard is currently looking to lead the Magic franchise to their first NBA Championship. The No. 1 pick of the 2004 NBA Draft was the 2009 NBA Defensive Player of the Year presented by Kia Motors, an All-NBA First Team selection the last two seasons, and stole the show at the 2008 NBA Sprite Slam Dunk Contest with his superhero antics. Additionally, Howard was the starting center of the 2008 U.S. Basketball Men's Senior National Team which won the gold medal at the Olympics in Beijing. Jay-Z's release of his street single "Death of Auto-Tune" has been popular on the web and the radio. With the subject matter getting fans excited or in an uproar, it's certainly got people talking. But now, the man behind the song has spoken about it with New York's Hot97.
Speaking on the topic of Auto-Tune, Jigga said he had no problem with Kanye, T-Pain or Weezy.
"The guys who did, did it great," he said. "Let them guys do it. They got their little niche. Let's move on."
